The Buddha, my bestie, sitting among rainbows - I cannot think of a more Jaime painting. Each January I start the new year with a piece I call my anxiety rainbows. I write down things that bring on heaps of anxiety and as I paint beautiful, colorful swatches of rainbows over the words, I “paint over” these things that cause me so much grief and worry, and I hang them where I can see them - in my classroom, my home wherever…not as a reminder of the things that bring me worry, but a reminder that it is all part of the process…it’s all temporary and that beautiful things come out of the madness.
