One of my favorite songs is by an Irishman named Hozier. "Be" - he tells us to be as we've always been...and I feel like that is what I try to do in my art, in my heart and in the work of being a teaching artist. The cover of this journal was once destined to be some abstract tulips, but I much prefer it adorned with a Hummingbird and the word, "Be."
