Once upon a time, I took a self-love solo mom trip to the NORTHERN most point of Sonoma County, Gualala, and for two days straight, I painted. In the midst of a complete and total breakdown, I painted and sat on the beach and painted and covered my toes in sand until my insides felt like they were whole again.
The cover of this piece is one of the paintings I did there, while rediscovering myself. I've never posted this image...but it feels most fitting that a piece of artwork and an experience that changed me completely, be part of someone else's creative journey.
Hand stitched and adorned with beads on the sides, this journal is perhaps one of my favorites of this collection - and I do hope it finds its forever home.
