Creativity is the work of discovering yourself

"Creativity is the work of discovering yourself over and over and over again." 

It's no secret that I journal and journal and journal...and journal. This one came to me mid-February as I struggled to maintain my creative practice in the face of some personal struggles. The act of being creative is not for anyone but ourselves and the beauty in that is rediscovering who we are, who we are meant to be and who we can become. 

This piece was painted on some rough textured watercolor paper and I'm ashamed I don't know the brand. Although, I feel like it gives the piece an air of mystery. Finished with some gold pen, it perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being a human being during these unprecedented times. Set in an 11X14 mated frame, and sprayed with UV protectant, this piece is ready to hang on your walls in a shaded spot. 

Think of me when you look at it, but more importantly, think of yourself and the journey YOU have begun when you pass by it.
