Down Time

When I was 16, my friend and I would hop in the car and drive out to the tiny town of Glen Ellyn, which sits on the outskirts of Sonoma County. Through winding back roads with vineyards and flower fields and pastures abundant, we revel in the freedom of being 16. I drive those same roads today quite a bit older… May be a little wiser, and I still get that same feeling freedom… Like I can breathe deep with all the excess space.

This piece is inspired by those 16-year-old drives. May it help you reclaim your own 16-year-old self… The adventure, the whimsy, the lack of any sort of responsibility.
