There's nothing like a fence full of flowers on a full moon night to make you appreciate just how beautiful the world can be, even in such tumultuous times as these. Lily and I frequently find ourselves on the grass in our courtyard, backs on the ground, gazing up at the sky - occasionally the moon sitting in the blue sky - marveling at the things that go on in the sky so far above us. My hope in this piece is that we never loose our sense of wonder, excitement and joy at the world around us.
This is one of a handful of pieces done on canvas for this series. The underlayer is covered in Lily's favorite color - PINK and glitter...all of the glitter. This piece screams joy in all toddler languages...and though she is not a toddler anymore, Lily's spirit and joi de vivre permeates the layers of goodness in this stunning canvas.
