I am drawn again and again and again to the rolling hills of fog at sunset here in my native Sonoma County. Driving through our county at sunset, just after the sun has dipped low, the fog rolls in quickly, making for a cool and brisk evening, windows rolled down on the slow drive home. Taking the backroads is especially a treat through Bennett Valley, with its rolling hills of vineyards and horse & cow pastures. I appreciate in particular, how this piece bleeds and blends the hillside with the pinks and purples of sunset, for truly that’s exactly what it looks like here on those cool fall evenings, windows down, ambling slowly home. 

PS - I am lactose intolerant…but no girl dinner would be complete without cheese…I guess we all  have to make sacrifices!
