Weightless

Feathers have a special place for me. When I see them, I'm reminded of this epic piece of journaling I did a few years ago after distancing myself from some intense personalities. "Feathers are proof that we can shed pieces of ourselves and still feel whole." 

And it fits - in the work I've done since the pandemic shut down schools, the counseling work I've done on myself, the parenting and co-parenting work I've done with my daughter's father...it's all a solid reminder that we are human and while we are not meant to be perfect, we are whole just as we are.
